Evolve portable basketball stand PT-140

Description

The PT-140 is for places where a permanent in-ground stand is not possible. It has the same backboard and height adjustment as the IG-140, on a large mobile base.

Twist-n-Set height adjustment

A few turns of the handle set the backboard height anywhere from 230 to 305 cm, so the stand suits players of different ages and abilities.

Base

The XL polyethylene base measures 130 × 82 × 20 cm and can be filled with up to 160 kg of water for maximum stability and safety. Transport wheels make it easy to move the stand where it is needed.

Frame protection

A padded layer on the front of the frame protects players and the stand from impacts and extends the stand’s service life.

Backboard

The 8 mm tempered glass backboard, 1360 × 800 mm, gives tournament-level rebound, unlike thin polycarbonate boards. Its guard is welded steel covered with anodised aluminium profiles, and a high-density thermoplastic frame along the bottom edge stiffens the board, reduces vibration and protects players’ hands. The board is cut out where the rim mounts, and the rim is fixed to the frame, not the glass, which greatly reduces the risk of damage.

Rim and net

A standard 45 cm spring-loaded rim with the springs covered from below against weather and corrosion. The white all-weather nylon net is attached with a tubular fixing, which is more secure than standard hooks.

E-coated steel frame

The steel frame is finished by electrophoretic coating, which bonds the paint directly to the metal. It is more durable than conventional powder coating: it resists rust, does not peel or fade, and adds an extra protective layer.
